Illustration Friday- Moon

This weeks topic was "Moon". I used to listen to a song by Concrete Blonde called "Underneath the Mexican Moon", so I decided to make a mexican-inspired moon! This is a page in my art journal, but I had so much fun with it, I think i'll turn it into a bigger painting with bright, fun fiesta colors!

I went to the Covington Cemetary today to take some photographs to use in collages and paintings, etc. I took almost 100 photographs, and so many of them turned out awesome! I decided to post a few of the best ones here. I'll be going Tuesday to the cemetaries in New Orleans with one of the girls from my painting class....I can't wait!
